Essential Duty of Care: Driver Training

With 65% of all company vehicles involved in an accident each year (Association of British Insurers) and an average vehicle repair cost in excess of £700 per incident (Fleet News), Corporate Driver Training should be a fundamental part of any quality fleet management policy.

A good tailor made programme, can improve your fleet driver safety, leading to a reduction in accidents and a subsequent reduction in repair, downtime and insurance costs. The delivery of a quality driver-training package will result in improved driving techniques, which will bring about reduced fuel costs.

Not only that, but by helping your drivers to learn more about safe driving, you improve their driving on their own time as well as reducing damage to your brand through employees’ reckless driving.

With the increasing Health and Safety legislative focus on corporate responsibility towards their employees and their driving safety, it is even more important to know that you can find a competitive, personal programme aimed at your drivers needs.

Driver Training
Arnold Clark provides driver training and risk assessment services through our partner The Automobile Association (The AA). Each AA programme is specifically designed to meet your company’s needs, reduce your overall fleet cost and improve your employees’ driving safety both on business and during personal time.

The AA is the only national driving school to exclusively use fully qualified instructors to deliver their training. A dedicated account manager will assess your requirements and will work with you to agree the areas that need to be covered by the training, as well as a timetable that suits you and the vehicles required.
